Happy Monday, my dears! It's going to be a very busy week ahead, so I'm glad I took some time off this weekend. I watched the royal wedding, which was incredibly uplifting and joyous, then played a little golf, read some short stories, organized my pantry. I received THE MINIMALIST KITCHEN for my birthday and I am excited to see how my adventure in kitchen minimalism goes. I don't know about you, but mine ends up being the repository for everything from food to mail to kittens who like to perch on the cool marble. Now if I could just minimize the laundry...

It wasn't an easy book to write, because what I drafted is nothing like what the book ended up being. I had to take chances, to tap into deeply personal issues, and I resisted. But in the end, I allowed it to happen, and I hope you love it.

Another quick bit of news – news I think you'll like – the pub date has moved up. The book is now being released August 28 – almost a month early. It's available for pre-order now, so you can reserve your copy today.
